Child Safety Standards

These standards apply to Mettle, including the Android app with package name com.mettletracker.app. Mettle is for adults aged 18 and over. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation.

What Mettle prohibits

Mettle prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Users must not use Mettle to create, store, request, share, promote, facilitate, or normalise any of the following:

  • Sexual content involving a person under 18, including real, altered, generated, or simulated material.
  • Grooming, sexual solicitation of a minor, or attempts to move a minor into sexual contact online or offline.
  • Sexualisation of minors, sextortion, trafficking, or commercial sexual exploitation of a child.
  • Instructions, links, communities, or other activity that enables access to CSAM or the abuse of a child.

These rules apply even when content is described as a joke, fantasy, role-play, or private exchange.

How to report a concern

In the Mettle app, open Profile → Safety → Report a child-safety concern. The report flow prepares an email to the child-safety contact below. You can also use this form. Do not attach, forward, or download suspected CSAM; describe where it can be found and provide only the minimum context needed to investigate.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or law enforcement first. The Mettle report route is not an emergency service.

How Mettle responds

We review child-safety reports as a priority. When we obtain actual knowledge of CSAM or conduct that violates these standards, we take appropriate action. Depending on what Mettle can control, that may include restricting access, removing material from Mettle-controlled services, preserving relevant evidence as required by law, and preventing repeat abuse.

Confirmed CSAM is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children where applicable, or to the relevant regional or national authority. We cooperate with lawful requests from child-safety and law-enforcement authorities.

How the current app works

The current Mettle app is a private, adult-only confidence-training log. It does not match users, host a public feed, or publish user profiles. Most app records stay on the user's device. This architecture reduces platform exposure, but it does not weaken the prohibitions or response commitments above.
